I pursued a career in medicine to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. My passion for surgery stems from its unique combination of human connection, precise judgment, technical skill, and the opportunity to provide tangible solutions for patients. My treatment begins with empathetic listening—understanding what a patient is experiencing, evaluating whether surgery is the most suitable option, and developing a treatment plan tailored to the individual’s needs and goals.

I care for adults with a wide range of general surgical and gastrointestinal conditions, including gallbladder disease, abdominal wall and groin hernias, hiatal hernia and reflux-related disorders, appendiceal disease, benign stomach and intestinal conditions, soft-tissue masses, and complex or recurrent abdominal problems. I have a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, metabolic and bariatric surgery, and abdominal wall reconstruction. I also work with patients who experience complications or persistent symptoms after prior abdominal or bariatric surgeries, helping them navigate their next steps with clarity and confidence.

I employ surgical innovation, utilizing robotic, laparoscopic, or open surgery, depending on the patient’s anatomy, medical history, and goals. I value minimally invasive techniques for their potential to reduce physical discomfort, shorten recovery time, and improve quality of life—but my primary focus is always on the safest and most effective approach for each individual. I prioritize patient education, ensuring that individuals fully understand what to expect before, during, and after their procedure.

I believe that excellent surgical care goes beyond technical expertise—it requires preparation, honesty, compassion, communication, and follow-through. I actively listen to my patients, taking the time to understand their concerns and aspirations. My treatment philosophy revolves around treating the person, not just the diagnosis, and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care. Whether recommending surgery, observation, or alternative treatments, my goal is to offer thoughtful, patient-centered guidance tailored to long-term success.
