Anne M. Levine, MD

As a native New Yorker from the vibrant Lower East Side, I am profoundly devoted to serving the diverse community that fostered my growth and resilience. My path into medicine was inspired by a heartfelt desire to give back to the city that has shaped my life.

In my role as an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am steadfast in my commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care, treating each patient with the dignity and attention I would offer to a dear neighbor or family member.

My fascination with medicine began in a high school biology class, propelling me toward a bachelor of arts in biology at Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with university honors. I then pursued my medical degree at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, earning Distinction in Service to the Community. My journey came full circle as I returned to New York to complete my emergency medicine residency at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital, acting as chief resident in my final year.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I have an interest in medical simulation. During my simulation fellowship at NYU Langone, I honed my skills in crafting realistic clinical scenarios, debriefing medical teams, and enhancing overall team preparedness. I view simulation as a vital tool in advancing medical education, improving quality of care, and ensuring patient safety. Through these efforts, I strive to empower healthcare professionals and foster an environment where exceptional patient care is the norm.
