About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am passionate about providing personalized care to my patients, with a focus on their overall wellbeing. My expertise lies in psychopharmacology, a field that allows me to understand the complex interactions between medications and the brain. This knowledge is particularly beneficial when treating patients with treatment-resistant depression, a condition that often requires a unique approach.
My journey into psychiatry began in Copenhagen, where I studied psychopharmacology before entering medical school. This experience gave me a unique perspective on the human mind and the impact of mental health on overall wellbeing. It also equipped me with the skills to develop tailored treatment plans for patients who may not have found success with standard approaches.
Scoring in the 99.9th percentile on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) board exams is a testament to my commitment to excellence in care. However, my focus extends beyond academic achievements. I believe in proactive engagement with healthcare, ensuring my patients have access to the most current and effective treatments.
In my practice, I combine medication management with other therapeutic approaches, tailoring treatments to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. My goal is to equip patients with the tools and support they need to manage their symptoms effectively and lead fulfilling lives.
Being part of the NYU Langone team allows me to provide comprehensive care to my patients. I work collaboratively with each patient, helping them navigate their mental health challenges. My commitment to patient care is deeply rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to effective mental healthcare.
