I was drawn to medicine for its unique ability to blend science with humanity. Through its practice, we uncover the depths of human experience—our resilience, our vulnerability, and the boundlessness of our potential. Nowhere is this more evident than in the critical care environment, where I dedicate myself to treating patients with cardiac conditions who are critically ill.

As the medical director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I believe team-based care is essential to delivering excellence in critical care. I have the privilege of leading a dedicated and talented team of nurses, advanced practice providers, and physicians in a mission-critical setting, where collaboration and rapid, adaptive problem-solving are key to improving outcomes.

In addition to caring for patients, my research is shaped by my experiences at the bedside and centers on advancing systems-based and quality care. I focus on evaluating team performance and dynamics in the critical care setting, with a particular interest in understanding the cognitive processes that drive decision-making under pressure.

As a dual-trained cardiologist and critical care physician at NYU Langone, I offer a unique perspective and skillset that allows me to manage patients with the most complex and dynamic cardiac conditions. My approach is comprehensive, empathetic, and deeply personalized to the needs of each patient.

My connection to Long Island is deeply personal. I was born at Winthrop University Hospital and I am proud to call this community my home. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the transformation of Winthrop University Hospital into the world-class institution that is now NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island. Each patient I care for is a reminder of my roots; I see not just patients, but neighbors. It is a profound privilege to contribute to their health and wellbeing through my work.
