I chose to become a neonatologist because I have always been invested in the health and wellbeing of children. Being able to support infants and their families through an incredibly challenging but often also joyful time is an absolute privilege.

I treat all newborns requiring critical care due to structural organ or genetic differences, those born preterm, and term infants with a challenging transition. Our level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone ensures that we have access to all the resources and personnel to care for critically ill newborns, whatever their needs may be.

The philosophy of our team and institution is to provide the highest level of care, with special attention to quality and safety, with a focus on family-centered care. My research focuses on medical education methodology as well as quality improvement processes.
