About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate mental health care. I believe in the importance of addressing both physical and mental health to improve overall wellbeing. My approach focuses on understanding each patient’s unique needs and developing personalized treatment plans that combine therapy and medication. Through empathetic listening and collaborative care, I strive to help my patients reclaim control over their emotional health and enhance their quality of life.
I specialize in treating a range of conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. My expertise extends to working with children and adolescents, a population that requires a specialized approach due to their developing brains. I utilize dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to provide tailored treatments that meet the developmental needs of young patients. This approach involves working closely with parents, schools, and other caregivers to create a supportive environment.
Throughout my career, I have focused on innovative and holistic approaches to mental health care. My training in DBT equips me with specialized tools for emotional regulation and coping, which are particularly beneficial for individuals facing anxiety and mood disorders. By integrating these techniques into my practice, I aim to offer effective care that supports my patients’ mental health journeys.
My journey into medicine was inspired by the physician who cared for my father during his illness. Witnessing their dedication motivated me to pursue a career in medicine. Psychiatry appealed to me because it blends science and emotion, allowing for deep personal connections with patients.
