About Me
As a clinical psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and skill-building approach to treatment. I find immense joy in working with children and families, helping them navigate and overcome challenges through methods that are both effective and supportive.
My philosophy centers on understanding each child’s unique circumstances and environments, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to address issues such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional or defiant behaviors, anxiety, and parent–child interactions.
I specialize in enhancing organizational, time management, and planning skills for children, adolescents, and young adults. With years of experience, I have developed a keen ability to assist children and teens in managing their daily tasks and responsibilities. Whether it’s helping a third grader organize schoolwork, negotiating homework expectations between parents and teenagers, coaching a sixth grader on balancing academics and extracurricular activities, or helping a college student improve skills for task initiation and planning, my goal is to equip young individuals with the tools they need to succeed.
Throughout my career, I have co-authored two books on organizational skills training, aimed at both professionals and parents. Additionally, I provide professional development to teachers and school guidance departments to support students’ executive functioning. My work extends beyond the clinic, offering home, school-based, and virtual treatments to children and their families in lower Westchester County. By integrating services into the environments where children face challenges, I strive to make mental health treatment more accessible and effective.
My journey into psychology was inspired by a desire to see positive changes in the lives of children and their families. Witnessing the growth in self-confidence and skills in young people is incredibly rewarding. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a team that values comprehensive and coordinated care, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients.
