I pursued a career in critical care medicine because it offers a unique combination of complex physiology, a diverse spectrum of illnesses, and meaningful opportunities to build relationships with patients and their families. I find deep fulfillment in caring for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, where thoughtful decision-making and teamwork can have an immediate and significant impact. The intellectual challenges and variability in this specialty inspire me daily and drive my commitment to providing the highest quality care.

In my practice, I treat patients with a broad range of pulmonary and critical care conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary vascular disease, and pulmonary embolism. My clinical interests are centered on pulmonary vascular disease, multidisciplinary pulmonary embolism response systems (PERT), ICU palliative care medicine, medical education, and quality improvement.

With a combined background in internal medicine and pediatrics, followed by fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine, my experiences caring for patients and families of all ages and diverse backgrounds inform my approach to patient care. Collaboration is essential in critical care, and I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure my patients receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to their needs.

My research on pulmonary emboli and ICU management strategies has been presented at multiple regional, national, and international conferences and has influenced clinical improvements, particularly at my previous institution. Through advancements in interventional therapies, my work has contributed to reducing morbidity and mortality for patients with pulmonary embolism—a pursuit that continues to be deeply rewarding.

As a physician early in my career, I am committed to patient-centered care, lifelong learning, and fostering collaboration to support the best possible outcomes for my patients.
