About Me
As a pediatric critical care physician at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill children. I consider myself extremely fortunate to work in a field where I can make a significant impact on young lives. My role allows me to collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child, and I am dedicated to addressing not only their immediate medical needs but also their long-term psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.
I specialize in pediatric critical care medicine, with a particular focus on pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) delirium. My research in this area has been pivotal in understanding how delirium affects children in the ICU and developing strategies to minimize its risk. With years of experience, I am committed to improving survival rates and addressing the comprehensive needs of children who experience lengthy ICU stays. My approach to care is deeply rooted in patient and family engagement, recognizing the crucial role families play in the successful recovery of their children.
Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in several committees aimed at minimizing hospital-acquired conditions during a patient’s hospital stay. This work underscores my commitment to proactive healthcare engagement and ensuring the highest standards of care. I am proud to be part of a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and pharmacists who work tirelessly to provide the best care for critically ill children.
My journey into pediatric critical care medicine began during my training, where I was inspired by the resilience of young patients and the collaborative spirit of the healthcare teams. This experience, coupled with my passion for research and patient care, led me to pursue a career in this field. At NYU Langone, I am privileged to work with a team that ensures coordinated and seamless care for my patients. My commitment to my patients extends beyond their immediate medical needs, as I strive to support their overall health and wellness.
