About Me
As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to providing high-quality emergency medical care. My passion for emergency medicine stems from the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the field, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a significant impact on patients’ lives.
With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in managing acute medical conditions and emergencies. My extensive practice across diverse settings, from inner-city Queens to rural East Texas, suburban Pennsylvania, and even New Zealand, has equipped me with a unique perspective on healthcare delivery. I am board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, having achieved certification in 2010 and recertification in 2020. My expertise is further enriched by my commitment to integrating bedside ultrasound into emergency practice, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, particularly in the realm of residency training. As a clinical assistant professor at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, I am passionate about mentoring and educating the next generation of emergency medicine physicians, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the complexities of the field. My dedication to global health initiatives and social medicine highlights my belief in health equity, striving to address disparities in healthcare access and quality both domestically and internationally.
My journey into medicine began at Stony Brook School of Medicine, where I developed a strong foundation in medical knowledge and clinical skills. I completed my residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Beth Israel emergency medicine program, where I honed my expertise in managing acute medical conditions and emergencies. Inspired by a commitment to excellence and social justice, I continue to advocate for comprehensive and coordinated care, ensuring that all individuals receive the care they need, regardless of their background or circumstances.
