About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and California, dedicated to providing expert care at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone. My specialization lies in supporting adolescents and young adults experiencing neurodivergence, acute and chronic symptoms of emotion dysregulation (e.g., suicidality, self-harm), and/or both at the same time. I am dually trained in evidence-based assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, ADHD) and in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment for suicidality, self-harm, and other risky behaviors that are secondary to emotion regulation challenges.
My practice is inclusive of a broad age range, from older children to adults, ensuring that every individual receives personalized, developmentally-appropriate care. I provide comprehensive evaluations and a spectrum of therapeutic services, such as individual therapy, family therapy, parent support, and group therapy. My therapeutic techniques, including DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and parent training, are adaptable to support the learning styles and developmental needs of autistic individuals.
As a clinical scientist, I have been intensely involved in developmental psychopathology research for over 15 years. My research program is specifically focused on understanding the developmental processes underlying neurodevelopmental conditions to refine early interventions that promote resilient outcomes. An important secondary goal of this work is to reduce health inequities by improving and expanding access to evidence-based services.
I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Emory University and my doctorate in clinical psychology from UCLA. My predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship were completed at UCSF, where I later served as an assistant clinical professor and attending psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences from 2021 to 2025. There, I divided my expertise between the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder & Neurodevelopmental Disorders and the Wavefront DBT Clinic. After 12 years in California, I am thrilled to return to New York City, where I enjoy exploring with my husband, toddler, and soon-to-be twin babies.
