About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I believe in understanding my patients as unique individuals and working hand-in-hand with them to create personalized treatment plans. I am deeply committed to the field of mental wellbeing and am honored to serve as the medical director of the NYU Langone Military Family Center (MFC) and see patients in the Faculty Group Practice (FGP).
My expertise lies in treating a variety of conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and insomnia, as well as difficulties adjusting to life stressors. I also have a special interest in addiction, using a harm reduction approach to assist patients in identifying and working towards their personal health goals, which may or may not include abstinence. My years of experience and comprehensive training at NYU Langone have equipped me with the knowledge to provide thorough care for these conditions, whether through medication management, psychotherapy, or a blend of both.
Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to proactive engagement in healthcare, striving to understand the biological origins of psychiatric illnesses while helping individuals navigate the challenges of social, psychological, and emotional difficulties. Being part of NYU Langone allows me to work within a coordinated care system, ensuring smooth and comprehensive care for my patients.
My interest in psychiatry began at a young age, driven by a fascination with the biological aspects of mental health and a desire to assist patients in navigating life’s challenges. After completing my residency and fellowship training at NYU Langone, I was delighted to join the faculty at this esteemed institution, a place I am proud to call my professional home.
