Early childhood experts at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, assess and treat children with developmental delays. Developmental-behavioral pediatricians also evaluate your child and track his or her progress over the years, providing further assessment, guidance, advocacy, resources, and medication, as needed.

Children with developmental delays that are caused by a medical problem or genetic condition may be referred to our pediatric specialists, such as geneticists, endocrinologists, and gastrointestinal specialists.
Those with behavioral conditions that are related to a developmental delay, such as anxiety disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, may be referred to specialists such as psychiatrists, psychologists, or social workers.
