Edmond J. Safra Parkinson's Wellness Program—NYC

The Fresco Institute is proud to support innovation in all aspect of clinical, community, and home care. In 2007, our groundbreaking, medical and community-based collaborative partnership program called the Edmond J. Safra Parkinson’s Wellness Program—NYC was founded with JCC Manhattan to help people impacted by Parkinson’s disease to improve their lives through exercise, support, education, and socialization.

The Edmond J. Safra Parkinson’s Wellness Program—NYC provides exercise classes, support groups, and educational events that are designed to keep people with Parkinson’s disease—along with their families and friends—active, connected, and empowered. With a primary focus on dignity, hope, and possibility, this internationally recognized program has grown into a welcoming hub for the Parkinson’s disease community.

All exercise and integrative health classes, support groups, and events are led by experienced, specialized, Parkinson’s disease–trained staff at JCC Manhattan, a state-of-the-art community center on the Upper West Side. Our fitness trainers, support specialists, and program staff are leaders in the field of integrative Parkinson’s disease care.

Our social work team is proud to coordinate the Edmond J. Safra Parkinson’s Wellness Program—NYC in partnership with JCC Manhattan. An intake interview is required prior to class or support group participation.
