Timothy M. Greene, MD

After graduating from college, I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by working on public health projects in resource-limited environments. These experiences ignited my passion for making a difference in people’s lives through healthcare.

During medical school, I discovered that the dynamic nature of the emergency department, with its front door open to any members of society, aligned perfectly with my desire to care for all patients regardless of their resources. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is being there for patients during their most vulnerable moments. The emergency department often serves as the first point of contact for individuals facing unexpected illnesses or injuries, and it is a privilege to provide care and support during these critical times.

I thrive in the collaborative environment of the emergency department. Working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, technicians, clerks, and other physicians from every service in the hospital fosters a dynamic and supportive atmosphere that enhances patient care. This teamwork is essential in delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients.

I am particularly interested in teaching resident physicians, especially in airway management. Assuming safe control of a patient’s breathing is a profound responsibility. I am passionate about imparting the fundamentals of recent advancements in airway management to the next generation of physicians. This commitment to education ensures that we continue to provide the highest standard of care.

As an emergency physician at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing high-quality care while offering comfort, reassurance, and compassion to those in need. My goal is to support my patients’ wellbeing and be a source of strength during their most challenging times.
