About Me
As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am committed to providing compassionate care that focuses on wellness and patient-centered decision making. My drive stems from my desire to make an immediate, positive impact on someone’s wellbeing, often during their most vulnerable moments. I find fulfillment in stabilizing critically ill patients and providing relief from acute pain, knowing that my actions directly contribute to their recovery. The fast pace and variety of emergency medicine keep me engaged and reinforce my passion for this field.
My specialty lies in managing a wide range of acute conditions. These include treating minor injuries like cuts and fractures, as well as more critical issues like heart attacks, strokes and trauma. I am also trained to work with more complex medical conditions involving respiratory distress, severe infections, and psychiatric emergencies.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to proactive engagement in healthcare. I believe in clear communication, ensuring that patients and their families are informed about their condition and treatment options during their emergency department course. My goal is to balance medical expertise with empathy, treating each patient with the care I would want for my own family.
My journey into medicine was fueled by a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, combining my interest in science with a deep desire to help others. I was drawn to emergency medicine for its fast pace, variety, and the challenge of quickly diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute conditions. One standout experience from my training was diagnosing and managing a young patient with new onset diabetes in severe diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Watching him recover from a severely ill state to nearly baseline health in a few short hours was amazing. Moments like these, where my training and hard work directly impact a patient’s outcome, reinforce my passion for emergency medicine and remind me why I love this field.
