As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where patients can openly share their thoughts and feelings. My philosophy of care revolves around collaboration; I work closely with my patients to identify patterns, set goals, and develop strategies that resonate with their unique needs. The intricacies of the brain and behavior have always fascinated me, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys.

I specialize in treating a wide variety of psychiatric conditions, with a particular interest in working with transitional-age young adults as they begin their journeys into adulthood. My experience in a college mental health setting has equipped me to support patients through major life transitions. This expertise is applicable to individuals of any age who are feeling “stuck” or struggling with change. In addition to medication management, I engage in psychotherapy, drawing from various therapeutic techniques to tailor my approach to each patient’s circumstances.

Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement and fostering strong partnerships with my patients. I completed the psychoanalytic fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, which has deepened my interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My goal is not just to manage symptoms but to explore the underlying issues that affect mental and emotional wellbeing, helping my patients gain insight and foster resilience.

My journey into medicine began in college, where I initially aimed to become a photojournalist. However, my fascination with neuroscience and the connection between molecular biology and conscious life led me to psychiatry. I pursued my medical degree at Rush Medical College, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society and received the American Medical Women's Association’s (AMWA) Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement. Serving as chief resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and receiving an Institute for Medical Education (IME) Excellence in Teaching Award further reinforced my commitment to quality patient care and medical education.
