About Me
As a licensed clinical psychologist at NYU Langone, I am continually inspired by my clients’ ability to grow and change their lives. My approach to therapy begins with mindful attention to the problem at hand. I aim to understand what you have already tried to improve and what success in therapy would look like for you. By establishing a clear focus, I can provide various options for a roadmap to achieve your goals together.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. With several years of experience, I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support my clients’ varying needs. CBT helps us understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and actions, allowing us to make more deliberate, values-based choices and change our self-talk. This process can lead to greater satisfaction with our lives and relationships.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, applying treatments to the complexities of real life. My training at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System in Manhattan honed my skills in addressing challenging issues and appreciating each person’s case as a unique puzzle. This experience has deepened my commitment to providing care that is both responsive and effective.
My educational journey and inspiration for pursuing a career in psychology are rooted in a deep appreciation for the diverse dimensions of identity that impact mental health. I invite you to bring your unique identities into our work, whether they relate to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious beliefs, spirituality, socioeconomic status, ability, or age. Therapy offers a supportive framework to explore these issues, and I am here to help you navigate them.
