Valery Kuznetsov, MD

As a cardiologist at NYU Langone Brooklyn Medical Associates-902 Quentin Road, I am dedicated to providing the best personalized cardiac care for patients in Brooklyn. My approach emphasizes patient–provider partnerships, ensuring that each individual receives tailored treatment plans that address their unique health needs.

I specialize in treating patients with a broad range of adult cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, and cardiac arrhythmia. In our office, we offer same-day echocardiograms, Holter monitors, and pacemaker interrogations, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses. I personally supervise regular and nuclear stress tests, and if necessary, I refer patients for advanced cardiac evaluations to interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiothoracic surgery within the NYU Langone system.

With more than 17 years of experience in private cardiology practice, I have honed my skills in both clinical care and research. My background includes extensive training in cardiology at the Institute of Clinical Cardiology of the National Cardiology Center in Moscow, where I also conducted clinical research on high blood pressure. My research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and I have presented my findings at national meetings, including the annual meeting of the American Heart Association.

My journey into medicine began during my final year at the Moscow Medical Academy, when I became fascinated with the rapidly developing field of cardiology. After completing my initial training in Moscow, I pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacology at Columbia University. Despite my success in research, my true passion remained in clinical cardiology, leading me to complete the necessary training in residency and fellowship. Since joining NYU Langone in 2017, I have continued to expand our practice, providing excellent care with the support of our leading health system.
