About Me
As a pediatric emergency physician at NYU Langone, I am motivated by a profound commitment to assist children and their families during some of the most difficult times. My care philosophy is straightforward: I treat every patient as I would want my own family to be treated. This approach ensures that I am meticulous, diligent, and always responsive to my patients' needs.
I have honed my skills in addressing a wide range of pediatric conditions. These include common and less common medical, psychiatric, and traumatic emergencies. The diversity of my patients, who range from premature infants to 20-year-olds, provides an intriguing and demanding daily experience. I have performed a variety of procedures such as conscious sedations, endotracheal intubations, placements of peripheral and central IV lines, laceration repairs, and lumbar punctures.
Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a collaborative approach to the care of critically ill children. I recall a case involving a boy who was actively seizing. The exceptional care he received was so moving that it brought me to tears of joy. Since then, there have been numerous other patients who have benefited from this high standard of care, which is now the norm in our department.
My journey into medicine was sparked by a personal loss. At 12 years old, I felt powerless when my grandmother passed away shortly after being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Encouraged by my father, I pursued a career in medicine, eventually specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. Today, I find immense satisfaction in positively influencing a child's health and overall wellbeing.
