About Me
As a clinical psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, I strive to provide each child and family with an environment where they feel safe, valued, and understood. I believe that every person has an important story to share, and I feel privileged to have a career that allows me to listen with compassion, build meaningful connections, and help children and families reach their goals through assessment and intervention.
I specialize in working with children who are neurodiverse, including those with autism and related developmental differences. With over a decade of experience, I am dedicated to advocating for the neurodivergent community and providing strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming care. My professional path includes completing my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University at Albany, where I received specialized training at the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. Additionally, I spent four years as a research and clinical trainee at the Yale Child Study Center, further honing my expertise in this field.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and collaborative care. I take a creative and individualized approach to treatment, introducing new tools, concepts, and skills in ways that foster children's comfort and motivation. I also collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other providers to deliver the most effective and comprehensive care, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for every child and family I work with.
Beyond my clinical work, I have authored studies in peer-reviewed publications and presented at leading conferences. Staying current with the latest research is central to my practice, and I prioritize incorporating insights from autistic self-advocates to ensure my care remains informed, inclusive, and aligned with the values and priorities of the neurodivergent community.
