Michel G. Khoury, MD

As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare for all patients, regardless of age, socioeconomic status, health literacy, or cultural background. My philosophy of care centers on ensuring patients receive the care they need, tailored to their unique circumstances and challenges. I thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments and pride myself on my ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing situations. Building strong, compassionate relationships with my patients and colleagues is at the heart of my practice.

I am dual-trained and board-certified in emergency medicine and internal medicine, with extensive experience in treating patients who are acutely ill and managing chronic diseases. This dual expertise allows me to balance the fast-paced demands of the emergency department while providing the comprehensive approach required for complex medical conditions.

My areas of interest include critical care and resuscitation in the emergency department, observation medicine, and point-of-care ultrasound. With years of experience, I am committed to developing individualized, patient-specific treatment plans, even in the often time-constrained emergency department.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about teaching and enjoy working closely with residents and medical students to help them develop into the next generation of medical professionals. I was inspired to pursue a career in emergency medicine to address the immediate needs of patients in critical situations. As part of NYU Langone, I collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring coordinated care for my patients.
