About Me
As a cardiac electrophysiologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient–centered care. Medicine is an incredible profession that allows me to meet patients at their time of need and offer comfort and healing through knowledge. My specialty, cardiac electrophysiology, is the perfect blend of biology, engineering, and innovation, working seamlessly together to improve patient health.
I specialize in treating heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and heart block. Additionally, I focus on inherited cardiomyopathies and channelopathies. With years of experience, I perform electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures for atrial and ventricular rhythm disorders. I also implant cardiac rhythm monitors, pacemakers, and defibrillators. My extensive training and credentials underscore my expertise in these areas.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to proactive healthcare engagement, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored approach to their care. At NYU Langone, we consider the whole patient in our rhythm management decisions, exploring multiple variables that can affect outcomes. This comprehensive approach, combined with the collaborative environment at NYU Langone, ensures that patients receive coordinated and seamless care.
My journey into medicine began with a desire to fuse intellect with altruism, inspired by the profound impact that healthcare professionals can have on individuals’ lives. My research focuses on discovering the genetic and developmental mechanisms that regulate normal heart rhythms and applying this knowledge to understand and treat abnormal rhythms. This work, supported by several NIH grants, aims to develop new therapies that can reverse the underlying causes of abnormal heart rhythms.
