About Me
As my mom used to tell me, I wanted to be a physician since I was 5 years old. I just knew from the beginning. I was always fascinated with health and how the body worked, and was naturally drawn to science and medicine. Over time, I wanted to learn as much as possible to better myself and those around me. I am happy and proud to care for people who are sick, prevent disease, teach students and residents, and help advance the field of hospitalist medicine.
I chose to become a hospitalist because it allows me to delve into various areas of medicine. I see patients with many different types of illnesses, including infectious disease, respiratory problems, cardiac disease, kidney failure, cellulitis, meningitis, and many other conditions that require patients to be hospitalized. My education and training prepared me to treat patients across a broad spectrum of conditions.
I tell my patients that the mind and body need to heal simultaneously; their healing does not end when they leave the hospital, and I am here to help them make healthier life choices.
The hospitalists at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island are all experienced and capable of treating people with any condition. I appreciate working with such an amazing team. We are a dedicated, caring, kind group that takes our profession seriously; we are easy to approach and talk with.
I belong to the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
