About Me
As a radiologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and precise diagnostic imaging to support patient care. My philosophy centers on leveraging advanced imaging techniques to deliver accurate diagnoses, which is crucial for effective treatment planning.
With nearly three decades of experience in body, emergency, and general radiology, I have developed deep expertise in cross-sectional emergency imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, as well as sonography and computed tomography (CT) imaging of non-emergent conditions. My clinical interests include non-contrast CT of the acute abdomen, imaging of pulmonary venous thromboembolism, and imaging of the acute abdomen in pregnancy. I am committed to staying at the forefront of radiology through continuous learning and innovation.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in numerous clinical, academic, editorial, and administrative roles at both national and international levels. I have co-authored more than 1,000 papers and abstracts, with more than 10,000 citations on Google Scholar, and have received over 100 poster awards at various meetings. My contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple teaching awards, including being named Attending of the Year five times in radiology and twice in internal medicine. Additionally, I have been honored with the lifetime honored educator award from the Radiological Society of North America.
My journey into radiology was inspired by a passion for medical imaging and a desire to contribute to patient care through accurate diagnostics. I pursued my medical education with a focus on radiology, driven by the potential to positively impact patient outcomes. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a team that values coordinated care, and I am committed to mentoring the next generation of radiologists and healthcare professionals.
