About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care. My passion for psychiatry stems from my deep empathy for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and my genuine interest in listening to their life stories. I feel honored when patients trust me to help them navigate the difficult moments in their lives.
I specialize in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I have honed my skills in several therapeutic modalities, including transference-focused psychotherapy (TFP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT). My background in narrative medicine further enriches my approach, allowing me to see each patient as a unique individual with a story, rather than just a set of symptoms.
Throughout my career, I have worked to build strong partnerships with my patients by listening non-judgmentally and understanding their personal backgrounds, concerns, goals, and strengths. This approach allows my patients to feel heard and supported, fostering a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship.
My journey into psychiatry began with a profound interest in human stories and a desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. I pursued my medical training with a focus on mental health, driven by the belief that understanding a patient’s narrative is crucial to effective treatment. At NYU Langone, I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts, ensuring that my patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care tailored to their specific needs.
