About Me
As a clinical psychologist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates , I am deeply committed to providing a safe and supportive space for my patients. My curiosity about people’s emotions, behaviors, and relationships, coupled with my eagerness to help others, drives my passion for this field. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard and supported, whether they are experiencing immense pain or seeking to become more reflective of their relational patterns. My goal is to help patients explore, learn, process, and build skills and tools that enhance their wellbeing.
I specialize in treating adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and depression. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, while also offering other therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's specific needs. I am a certified provider of cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for PTSD, and I employ exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and phobias, and integrate acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic therapy into my practice.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, including PTSD clinics, oncology hospital floors, palliative care teams, inpatient psychiatry units, and addiction programs. These experiences have allowed me to treat a diverse group of adults from various backgrounds and circumstances, enriching my understanding and approach to therapy. My dedication to proactive healthcare engagement ensures that I stay current with the latest research and techniques, providing my patients with the highest standard of care.
My journey into clinical psychology began with a deep-seated interest in understanding human behavior and a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. My educational background includes rigorous training at NYU Langone, Veterans Health Administration (VA) hospitals, a public city hospital, a college counseling center, and a community clinic. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy and inspired me to continually strive for excellence in patient care. At NYU Langone, I collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for my patients.
