Dowin H. Boatright, MD

My research focuses on investigating bias and discrimination in medical education and exploring evidence-based interventions that foster diversity in the biomedical research workforce, with an ultimate goal of mitigating health disparities in underserved populations. A key feature of my work is collaboration with national medical organizations and accrediting bodies, such as the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). These collaborations have granted our team access to big data, facilitated the dissemination of our findings, and enabled us to influence policy on a national level.
