About Me
As a child and adolescent psychologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to helping young patients manage anxiety and improve their skills across various areas of function. By addressing these issues early, we can set children up for a more successful adult life. My passion for this work stems from my experiences volunteering and training, where I have seen firsthand the positive impact that effective psychological interventions can have on children and adolescents.
I specialize in treating patients with a range of conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), selective mutism, anxiety, and depression. With years of experience, I employ cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as my primary treatment approach. This includes executive functioning skills training for ADHD, parent management training for disruptive behavior disorders, and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) informed treatment for selective mutism. My goal is to provide treatments that are tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
At the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I work closely with other specialists to ensure comprehensive care. I also collaborate with teachers and other professionals, with permission from families, to support the child’s progress in various settings. This team-based approach ensures that our patients receive coordinated care.
My journey into psychology began as a college student at New York University, where I volunteered in an intensive obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment program at the Child Study Center. Witnessing the determination and progress of the children in the program solidified my passion for helping young people. I pursued graduate-level training at the Child Study Center and returned as a post-doctoral fellow to further hone my skills. Today, as a faculty psychologist, I am proud to be part of the Organizational Skills and Executive Function Treatment Program and the Selective Mutism Service at NYU Langone.
