Research Summary

With 25 years of experience in high-volume, high-acuity emergency departments, I am committed to providing skilled, efficient, and compassionate care during some of the most critical moments in my patients’ lives. My background includes specialized training and experience in disaster medicine, tactical medicine, government emergency medical security services, international aeromedical transport, and medical education. These have each shaped my approach to emergency medicine and equipped me with the skills to make life-saving interventions in any scenario, anywhere, when every second counts.

I was drawn to emergency medicine because it demands quick thinking, decisiveness, and a broad medical knowledge base. The dynamic and unpredictable nature of the field presents unique challenges every day, as well as the opportunity to make an immediate, meaningful impact in my patients’ lives.

My commitment to helping patients in the Emergency Department is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience. As the first point of contact for people in any sort of crisis, I have the opportunity to provide reassurance and support when they feel most vulnerable. In my practice, I prioritize clear, empathetic communication to ensure patients feel seen and understood.

I believe that trust and compassion are as essential as clinical expertise in promoting patients' comfort, healing, and recovery. By actively listening and staying present, even in chaotic and high-stakes situations, I aim to create an environment where my patients and their families feel safe, valued, and cared for. When patients see that I am not just treating their symptoms but truly caring about their well-being, it fosters a deeper level of trust and confidence, ultimately supporting their healing process.
