Recognition
Our facilities are accredited with distinction by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). This is the highest ranking awarded by UHMS and reflects our rigorous standards and commitment to excellence in patient care.
Our wound center offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), an advanced treatment that involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. This increases the concentration of oxygen in your body tenfold and speeds the healing process. HBOT is used to care for specific types of nonhealing wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, soft tissue radiation injuries, surgical flaps that are not healing properly, and chronic bone infections.
During your first appointment we take a complete medical history and perform a physical examination to diagnose your wounds. Our experts work with your primary care doctor as well as any referring specialists to create a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan.
Our team uses the most advanced technology available. This may include vacuum-assisted closure, or negative pressure wound therapy, which uses a vacuum applied through a sealed dressing to draw out fluid and speed the growth of new blood vessels to an injured area for faster healing.

Our highly trained specialists, innovative treatment techniques, and advanced medical technology make us one of the top wound treatment centers on Long Island.
Members of our team are active in clinical trials designed to test the newest available therapies for nonhealing wounds. Your doctor will discuss whether participation in a clinical trial is appropriate for you.
