Raabe, MD, an assistant professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, explains how children are impacted by 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). While children appear to be less vulnerable to the disease, and typically display less severe symptoms, they can easily transmit it to others.
When children sneeze or cough, they aren’t as good as adults at covering their nose or mouth. “It’s concerning that they could be transmitting,” Dr. Raabe tells The Wall Street Journal.
