The 25,000-Square-Foot Practice Complements the Broad Range of Services Offered on the East End
The new location means that radiology and specialty services are available in the same corporate park as other existing NYU Langone practices.

NYU Langone Health has expanded its top-ranked ambulatory network on the East End of Long Island with the opening of NYU Langone Radiology—Ambulatory Care Riverhead at 893 East Main Street.
The new Riverhead practice is 25,000 square feet: 13,000 square feet are dedicated to offering patients the highest-quality imaging methods to diagnose disease, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), X-ray, breast cancer screening, and bone density tests that identify osteoporosis. These modalities support earlier detection and more precise diagnosis across a wide range of conditions. The remaining 12,000 square feet houses one location of NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Riverhead, with a wide range of clinical specialties, including cardiology, cardiology diagnostics, nuclear medicine, orthopedics, pulmonology, podiatry, rheumatology, pain management, and vascular care.
“Suffolk County continues to be an area of growth for us, with a focus on bringing even more top-quality providers and services to the region,” said Oren Cahlon, MD, executive vice president and vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, chief clinical officer, at NYU Langone. “By bringing state-of-the-art radiology together with our extensive network of specialty and primary care services, we’re not only improving access, we are also ensuring that patients on the East End receive the same coordinated, high-quality care that defines NYU Langone Health across the region.”
Patients now have convenient access to radiology and specialty services in the same centrally located corporate park as other NYU Langone practices:
- NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Riverhead’s second location, at 889 East Main Street
- Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Arena Oncology—Riverhead
- NYU Langone South Shore Neurologic Associates—Riverhead
- Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone South Shore Neurologic Associates—Riverhead
The commitment to patients in Suffolk County has been growing rapidly in recent years. Just last year, six new outpatient practices opened in the county, and NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Patchogue joined the health system as its seventh inpatient facility. A modern ambulatory surgery center on Patchogue’s Main Street is set to open this summer, and plans are underway for the expansion of the Suffolk hospital.
Patients are seamlessly connected to NYU Langone’s electronic health record system across locations and can access all their health information, as well as schedule appointments, through the NYU Langone Health app or the NYU Langone Health MyChart patient portal.
