He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester—where in addition to excelling in his studies he was a first-team Academic All-American baseball player—and later completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Cerfolio’s experience as a leader and trailblazer will help NYU Langone continue to improve the quality and efficiency of the patient care delivered.
Daniel J. Widawsky joined NYU Langone as senior vice president and vice dean, chief financial officer, after most recently serving as director of EFO Management, an investment and management firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a juris doctorate from Yale Law School.
