During Women’s History Month, The CRI Blog highlights pioneering women who have played a role in advancing cancer immunotherapy. Amanda W. Lund, PhD, associate professor in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology and the Department of Pathology and a member of NYU Langone Health’s Perlmutter Cancer Center, is among the women researchers profiled.
Dr. Lund, who receives support through the Cancer Research Institute’s Lloyd J. Old STAR program for mid-career scientists, is characterizing the body’s complex lymphatic system and how it influences both cancer metastasis and successful anti-tumor immune responses.
