Adriana Quinones-Camacho, MD, chief of medicine at NYU Langone Health’s Tisch Hospital in Manhattan, has been recognized as a 2022 Notable Hispanic Leader by Crain’s New York Business.
In her role, Dr. Quinones-Camacho works in partnership with administration, nursing, and other physicians to ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of patient care, as well as patient satisfaction. These consistently strong metrics helped lift NYU Langone to its recent status as the No. 1 hospital in New York and No. 3 in the nation, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
The Crain’s New York Business honor recognizes Dr. Quinones-Camacho, also a cardiologist, for her professional accomplishments, ability to effect change, and efforts to advance equality. Notably, Dr. Quinones-Camacho is the first woman and Latinx person to serve as Tisch Hospital’s chief of medicine. As associate professor of medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, she mentors students and plays an instrumental role in recruiting students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in medicine for admission to the school, residency programs, and cardiology fellowships.
