International Epilepsy Program

NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center attracts patients from around the world. Through our International Epilepsy Program, we strive to make your experience as comfortable as possible, offering specialized care in accordance with your cultural background.

Several of our staff are multilingual and have established excellent relationships with multiple epilepsy centers and neurologists around the world. Our center is a referral source for patients from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. In addition to patient care, the International Epilepsy Program facilitates the continuing medical education for physicians from other countries. The program organizes a symposium every year that brings neurologists from around the world to NYU Langone.

We provide our international patients with sophisticated neurological care including outpatient consultations, outpatient electroencephalogram (EEG), ambulatory EEG monitoring, video-EEG monitoring, high-resolution MRI, magnetoencephalography, neuropsychological assessment, and epilepsy surgery. The International Epilepsy Program is also associated with the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center—Sleep Center, a dedicated facility for the study of sleep disorders in children and adults, including those triggered by epilepsy.

Patient admissions, patient care, visa requirements, and patient services are coordinated by our international services program. The International Epilepsy Program is closely associated with several international government agencies that facilitate the referral of patients to NYU Langone.

The International Epilepsy Program is located within the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital. Please call 212-263-8351 for more information.
