Hemophilia in Children

Specialists at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone take a family-centered approach to diagnosing and treating children with hemophilia, a bleeding disorder that occurs when the blood does not clot properly. Earlier diagnosis, new approaches to treatment, and better family education about hemophilia have improved the quality of life for children with this condition.

Our team of hemophilia experts includes hematologists, who specialize in blood disorders; nurse practitioners; social workers; physical therapists; dental practitioners; and other healthcare professionals who provide children and their families with personalized attention to help them manage all aspects of treatment.
