What Sets Us Apart
Between 10 percent and 15 percent of people who have Hodgkin lymphoma, a curable blood cancer, are children and teens. A team of specialists at the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital of New York at NYU Langone, works together to provide the most effective treatments for the condition.
Our doctors and support staff take a family-centered approach to care. Our large team is composed of pediatric hematologist–oncologists, radiation oncologists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, hematopathologists, pediatric radiologists, pediatric nurses and nurse practitioners, a dentist, a physical therapist, social workers, psychologists, a nutrition specialist, and child-life specialists.
