About Me

As the medical director of NYU Langone’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health, I mostly treat men who have all types of conditions, though I treat women as well. I maintain an ongoing partnership with my patients, so I can coach them in taking a more active role in their healthcare.

People in New York City are sophisticated, competitive, and goal-oriented. At the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health, we believe in your ability to take care of yourself—we just give you the tools and the knowledge to do so. I ask what you’ve done to prepare for your checkup. I discuss what you need to do in the coming months to improve your health. I put the ball in your court, but I’m always there to guide you.

My goal is to improve my patients’ lives from all angles—after all, my purpose is to treat each person, not only to manage the illness. I do everything I can to minimize any side effects of treatments. If I treat patients for hypertension, I don’t want the therapy to cause erectile dysfunction. If I treat them for depression, I don’t want the medication to lead to obesity and diabetes. To help you lead a healthier life, I care for your overall wellbeing, not just the condition that brings you into my office.

My father, a general practitioner, taught me that my role as a doctor isn’t simply to cure, but to care for and comfort as well. There is great humanity in caring for patients and developing strong relationships with them. He showed me that being a doctor is one of life’s greatest privileges.

Treating people at the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health is truly a great privilege. It’s a place where men and women don’t feel judged, but safe and cared for. Our team knows that we need competency and compassion in equal measures to treat patients. I relish serving as the director of this medical facility, which offers the latest and most advanced technology.
