Sepsis in Children

Pediatricians and nurses at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone are trained to identify and treat sepsis, a dangerous inflammatory condition that is triggered by an infection. Our team of experts has created an early warning system for sepsis in babies and children, so that treatment can begin before the onset of complications, such as septic shock and organ failure.

Our neonatal and pediatric intensive care units are staffed with experts who care for children with sepsis around the clock, seven days a week, monitoring their progress throughout treatment.
