The NYU Langone Health mobile app is only available for mobile devices. If you would like to use a computer instead of a mobile device, please make sure it has a working web camera, microphone, speakers, and high-speed internet connection. Recent versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Mozilla Firefox web browsers are compatible with this service.
If you or your child needs care for a non-emergency condition, our Virtual Urgent Care service offers a video visit with one of NYU Langone’s providers at a time that works with your schedule. The visit takes place over a secure line, and your privacy is assured.
We treat adults as well as children ages 5 to 17. For a child’s visit, the parent or legal guardian must schedule the visit on behalf of the child. Our providers can only treat your child if the parent or legal guardian is present during the visit.
Our providers are licensed to practice medicine in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Florida. You must be physically located within one of those states at the time of treatment. Learn more about our Virtual Urgent Care services for patients located outside New York State.
With Virtual Urgent Care, you or your child can do the following:
Virtual Urgent Care is not intended to replace a visit to a regular doctor for routine healthcare needs such as an annual physical. This service is intended to support your or your child’s care when the doctor’s office is closed or in between appointments for urgent needs. A referral is not needed to see a Virtual Urgent Care provider.

Your insurance plan may cover the cost of a Virtual Urgent Care visit for you or your child.
It is your responsibility to verify that you have specific benefit coverage for telemedicine services under your benefit plan.For plans we accept, we collect your out-of-pocket responsibility for an office visit at the time of check-in and bill your insurance for the remaining balance. If your insurance doesn’t cover the balance in full, you are billed for any remaining balance.
If your insurance plan is not accepted or you do not want a claim submitted to your insurance carrier, you or your child can still use Virtual Urgent Care and register as a self-pay patient. You are charged up to $126 for the visit, plus any additional fees associated with other services provided.
