Welcome to the

Suspicion of Cancer Virtual Clinic

We provide virtual consults to assess symptoms and help diagnose all types of cancer.

Early detection can lead to more effective treatment for many types of cancer. If you are experiencing early signs or symptoms of cancer, a comprehensive evaluation is a crucial first step to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.

As part of NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center, experts at the Suspicion of Cancer Virtual Clinic can help put you on the path to diagnosis sooner. New or existing patients at NYU Langone can call to schedule an appointment for a video visit with an experienced oncology nurse practitioner. This service is available for any type of early cancer suspicion. Depending on volume of calls, most appointments are scheduled within 24 hours.

During your appointment, the nurse practitioner assesses your symptoms and helps you to take appropriate next steps to getting the care you may need. The nurse practitioner discusses your symptoms with a cancer specialist who may order diagnostic tests such as a biopsy or an imaging test. If necessary, a follow-up visit is scheduled with a medical oncologist, hematologist, radiation oncologist, or surgical oncologist depending on your needs.

Video visits with our providers are conducted through an NYU Langone Health MyChart account. Existing patients who do not have a MyChart account can create an account. Your MyChart account can also be accessed from a mobile device by downloading the NYU Langone Health app. For people who are new to NYU Langone, our staff can help create a MyChart account and guide you through downloading and using the app before your suspicion of cancer video visit.
