NYU Langone Long Island Surgical Associates

At NYU Langone Long Island Surgical Associates, our team provides advanced surgical care for cancer, conditions affecting the abdomen and digestive system and the vascular system, and diseases of the liver and pancreas, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland. We also offer wound care, pediatric surgery services, and surgical options for weight loss.

We specialize in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgical techniques, which allow patients to return home sooner and recover more quickly than after open surgery. We use the advanced da Vinci surgical system for robotic-assisted procedures. This system gives surgeons a greater range of motion than the human hand and provides advanced magnification.

These are some of our most commonly performed procedures:

  • colon and rectal procedures for people with inflammatory bowel disease—including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis—as well as polyps and hemorrhoids
  • gallbladder removal
  • procedures to repair hernia, including hiatal hernia
  • surgical treatment for gastroesophageal acid reflux disease (GERD)
  • weight loss surgery, also called bariatric surgery
  • surgery to treat benign esophageal diseases
  • open and minimally invasive procedures, including robotic Whipple procedures
  • vascular surgery, including vascular resection and reconstruction

In addition, we perform surgery to treat people with esophageal cancer, breast cancer, colon and rectal cancer, and pancreatic cancer, through Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island.

Our surgeons are part of renowned NYU Langone specialty programs, including the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Lake Success and the Pancreatic Cancer Center.

Surgeries take place at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island. Our trauma and critical care surgeons provide immediate and follow-up care for people who have experienced life-threatening accidents or injuries. Our team’s surgeons are part of the Trauma Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, which has been verified by the American College of Surgeons and designated a Level 1 Trauma center by New York State.
