Barbara Resnick Fund for the Advancement of Pancreatic Cancer Research
About My Campaign
On June 19th, 2015 our mother Barbara Resnick was diagnosed with stage four metastatic pancreatic cancer, a scary diagnosis with limited treatment options. Even though the statistical odds of a full recovery were bleak Barbara still decided that doing nothing was not an option so she chose to fight. She began chemotherapy almost immediately and regardless of the awful side effects she endured she never complained. Barbara was a selfless woman, always putting her husband of almost 50 years, her children and six loving grandchildren ahead of herself. All she wanted to do was spend more time with her family. Sadly only six months later the fight was over. In the early hours of January 1st, 2016 our family lost our beloved mother way too early to this horrendous disease.
I’d like to invite you to contribute to our fundraising campaign to support the laboratory of Dr. Alec Kimmelman, MD, PhD, internationally-renowned clinician-scientist and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Kimmelman has dedicated his career to the study of pancreatic cancer and development of new therapeutic treatment approaches.
If you feel inspired a donation of any amount, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. Your gift would mean so much to our family, and even more to so many others who we hope will not lose their loved ones too early.
Thank you for your support.
