About My Campaign
Your gift helps NYU Langone doctors deliver cutting-edge, evidence-based drug education to teens, keeping them safe, healthy, and OUT of the ER.
Teen Drug Overdose Deaths Are Rising Exponentially
Although teen drug use has decreased significantly in recent years, the rise of fentanyl, an opioid that can be fatal in tiny amounts, has led to an exponential increase in teen overdose deaths. Opioid overdoses are now the leading cause of death among adults aged 18-45.
“[PEP Talks] makes me see things in a way I haven’t seen them. Now I look at drugs like, ‘This could actually happen to me.’” – Brian Duran, high school student
With Your Help, We’re Making a Difference
With the growing fentanyl crisis, PEP is on the front lines of keeping our kids safe. Our world-class doctors and medical students deliver life-saving PEP Talks in schools that combine advanced science and harm-reduction techniques. As an NYS-registered opioid overdose prevention program, PEP distributes naloxone (Narcan) to school staff, providing a critical line of defense against overdose. Your gift can help us continue this important work, empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about drug use and prevent unnecessary tragedies.
