Celebrating Dr. Martin A. Posner

About My Campaign

Dr. Posner is commemorating his 50th year as Chief of the Division of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, an extraordinary achievement. Under his leadership we now have the largest division of hand surgery in the country and a coveted hand surgery fellowship of five fellows annually. Over the years, he has trained over 130 fellows and countless orthopedic residents. We all know of his love of teaching and his on-going mission to groom “matadors” of hand surgery, rather than aficiondados.

To honor his many accomplishments, the Department of Orthopedics wishes to establish the Martin A. Posner Professorship of Orthopedic Surgery. This endowed professorship will be bestowed on his successors and will memorialize in perpetuity Dr. Posner’s enormous contributions to this institution and the field of hand surgery.

In order to make this happen, we need to raise $400,000. It is our hope that given the impact Dr. Posner has had on your lives, that you will consider contributing to this endowment. Please keep in mind that it is possible make a pledge that can be paid over a 3-5 year period. If you’re interested in doing this, please contact Illana Feiglin at Illana.Feiglin@nyulangone.org

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Martin’s leadership, mentorship and friendship. Many thanks!
