About My Campaign

Friends,

We invite you to contribute to NYU Langone Health/Perlmutter Cancer Center in memory of Mary Shannon Little.

Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was a young wife with 2 baby girls, a blossoming career and everything to live for. Mary did live! She lived life to the very fullest. Despite having metastatic breast cancer for more than 20 years Mary was a true partner to her beloved husband Ed, raised her daughters, Genny and Bridget, saw them both married to wonderful husbands - Max and Jon, and enjoyed every moment with her dear grandson Theo.

Mary received her care at NYU Langone/Perlmutter Cancer Center. She participated in clinical trials testing new treatments for breast cancer and benefited from all of the services that the Perlmutter Cancer Center provides.

If you feel motivated to donate any amount, no matter the size, please do. Your gift would mean so much to Mary and her family -- and even more to so many others who depend on the work of NYU Langone/Perlmutter Cancer Center faculty and staff. Thank you for your support.

Edward Little, Genny Little and Bridget Little

Such a sparkling personality and terrific talent. And what a fighter. Mary inspired us all, Ed. Our thoughts are with you. May all of your wonderful memories together be a blessing for you, your daughters and the whole family.

I'll always remember the tremendous impact Mary had on my life. She will be greatly missed.
We just learned this sad news. She was the best, Ed.
18 in Hebrew letters means life; this small contribution is in honor of an inspiring and consequential public servant. Lenny, former SDNY paralegal/legal clerk
In addition to being a "forever" friend, Mary taught me how to support those managing cancer by simply being present and authentic. Proactive about her care, she had powerful partnerships with her doctors. Her wisdom reached deep and far.
May her memory be for a blessing.
Mary was a wonderful person. She loved us as much as we loved her.
Mary's friendship, wisdom and support helped me through many life issues. I will miss her so. My deepest sympathies to Ed, her beautiful daughters and Theo, who brought her such joy.
On behalf of Zuckerman Spaeder, we are deeply sorry for your loss.

An unforgettably fine and formidable person whom I laughed with many times.
Mary was an extraordinary person and an inspiration. She truly enriched our lives.
In loving memory.--Margery and Ted Mayer
With my deepest sympathy.
Mary was determined to fight her cancer and the cancer center provided her tools and encouragement in her battle.
Mary once told me that every cancer survivor is a counselor to others with cancer, and she was there for others for so many years with love and compassion. She truly was an extraordinary human being who will be sorely missed.
I am so very sorry to hear this news.
We were blessed having Mary in our lives.
RIP Mary You will be missed
