Support a lectureship series in memory of Dr. Manfred Blum

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, Dr. Manfred (Manny) Blum passed away at age 90 on July 19, 2022. He was our beloved teacher, physician, colleague, and friend. Dr. Blum was an observant, insightful clinician and an outstanding teacher as well as a pioneer in developing ultrasound imaging of the thyroid – now a routine, state-of-the-art method to examine this gland.

Dr. Blum cared deeply about NYU Grossman School of Medicine and its community. To memorialize and honor someone who affected so many of us, we plan to honor Dr. Blum’s memory with an annual named lectureship at which a distinguished scientist or clinician will visit NYU Langone and deliver medical grand rounds. I hope that you will join us in this meaningful effort as we commit to keeping his name and legacy alive at NYU Langone for many years to come.
