About My Campaign
Friends & Family-
Jessie, Charlie and Jon would like to invite you to contribute to their fundraising campaign for NYU's Community to Fight COVID-19. We are raising funds in honor of our beloved Brett Schwartz. Brett ran his first, and last, half marathon with Charlie and Jon back in 2017 -- and tragically passed away three weeks later. Charlie and Jon have continued to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon every year as a tribute to Brett. Jessie was slated to make her Brooklyn Half debut this year in Brett's honor, but unfortunately the race was cancelled due to COVID-19. To celebrate Brett’s legacy, we will be running 13.1 miles on May 16th, despite the race being cancelled and are pairing this year’s efforts with a philanthropic cause.
We are partnering with NYU's Community to Fight COVID-19 because they are caring for patients with coronavirus, providing relief to frontline workers that are fighting this disease and researching ways to improve testing and speed diagnoses to deepen our understanding of the virus to help stop the spread.
If you feel inspired to donate, any amount would be deeply appreciated. Your gift would mean a lot to us, and even more to so many others who depend on the work of this great organization.
Thanks so much for your support.
